Are you ready for 1 October?

The key employment law changes taking effect from 1 October 2011 are:

Agency Workers Regulations 2010
The Agency Workers Regulations 2010 will come into force. Their aim is to ensure that after a 12-week qualifying period agency workers receive the same “basic working and employment conditions”, as if they were employed directly by the hirer into that role.
This includes:
• Pay
• Duration of working time
• Length of night work
• Rest periods and breaks
• Holiday entitlement
For more details information on the Agency Worker Regulations 2010 and a link to our detailed bulletin, see our employment blog post of 28 June 2011 here.
